Moving into a new home can be a huge undertaking. You are already changing so much and parting ways with a home where many memories were made.
The fun part of moving day is thinking about what should go where. But before you unload all your items and start arranging furniture, there is an important thing to do first! Deep clean the house to your liking! Here are three things you should do that you may not have thought of!
*Renters: This list applies to you, too! If you’re moving into an apartment, these tips still apply!
Give those baseboards a good scrub!
Did you know that baseboards are the most common part of house cleaning that is skipped? It is a simple yet daunting task, but doing it before you move a single item into the house helps you start on the right foot. Grab your favorite organic all-purpose cleaner and give them a quick wipe down.
Change the toilet seats.
This may seem like a silly one, but the toilets are probably the grimiest spot in a house. Rather than spending your time cleaning them, remove them, clean them under there and replace them with a brand new seat. You will have serious peace of mind, sitting on the brand new seats, knowing your family has christened them.
Wipe Down The Inside of The Cabinets
Your cabinets will never be emptier. Take this time to give them a deep clean. You can focus on every inch of them, especially ones that you know will hold a lot of items at all times. Grab a cleaner and a cloth and go to town. You will feel great knowing that they are perfectly clean.
